More than 1,000 corporations bid for 2017 railway projects

More than 1000 corporations expressed desire in 17 classes of projects for the 2017 money tasks of the Nigerian Railway Company (NRC).

The Managing Director of the NRC, Engr. Fidet Okhiria disclosed this on Tuesday whilst declaring open up the course of action for the opening of bids for the assignments.

The formal opening of bids held at the corporate headquarters of the NRC in Lagos experienced associates of companies who have bided for a single deal or the other in attendance.

The MD represented by the Director of Operations, Mr. Niyi Ali stated the open bidding was aimed at having the greatest companies to carry out the tasks lined up for implementation in the 2017 fiscal yr.

He assured the providers that the NRC would be fair, transparent and impartial in the bidding system which clarifies why they have made the procedure open up in line with the Procurement Act of 2004.

The projects involve the Procurement of Equipment, Machines and Components for unexpected emergency repairs and upkeep of Tracks Renovation/Upgrade of Railway Stations and other structures collectively with linked amenities (nationwide).

Procurement of Locomotives, Coaches, Wagons, Railway Inspection Autos and Cranes (Slim Gauge and/or Normal Gauge) Procurement/Rehabilitation and Set up of equipment for Mechanical/Electrical, Security, Printing, Functions, Civil and ICT amenities Era of Substitute Revenue for the Company, Coverage Companies, among other folks.
