Volta Bracket
The Volta Bracket has an Aggressive Frame and is a Strand Sniper Rifle. Snipers have a special place in both PvE and PvP, and they are only used in one-on-one situations like raids. The Volta Bracket is a bad weapon for any content because it has a short zoom range and a strong recoil. This is a shame because you can craft it for Triple Tap and Explosive Payload.
Even though the Volta Bracket has a good choice of traits, it still isn’t good enough. It can still be useful, though, because it has the trait Hatchling. This works well with a Strand build that focuses on making Threadlings.
Iterative Loop
The Iterative Loop Fusion Rifle is an Arc Fusion Rifle with a flexible set of useful Happy Wheels features. You can make the weapon for both Compulsive Reloader and Voltshot, which makes it a powerful special weapon despite the fact that it requires a lot of maintenance. The weapon can also roll Lead from Gold, which is great for the trendy double special meta that works well against enemies with more health.
It’s still a Fusion Rifle, no matter how you dress it up. The gun can’t really shine in either PvE or PvP because of its short range, wide bullet spread, and low damage.
Round Robin Hand Cannon
Even though you can’t just tap one red bar with a Hand Cannon anymore, Aggressive Frames (120 RPMs) are very valuable in PvP. As expected of its type, the Round Robin does accurate, lethal damage at mid-range. You can make a Round Robin instead of letting your bad Rose rolls gather dust in your vault.
When you combine Keep Away with Kill Clip or Opening Shot, you get a reliable Hand Cannon for your adventures in Crucible. However, you’ll need to upgrade it at some point to be able to compete in higher ranks. Even with the Hatchling trait for the Strand subclass, the weapon’s strengths don’t carry over to PvE.
Basso Ostinato
The Rapid-Fire Frame is attached to the Basso Ostinato, which is a Void Shotgun. Because of how it was made, the shotty can quickly empty its cartridge at full auto speed. So, the gun hits hard and feels easy to use, especially since it has a big magazine and can be reloaded quickly.
Basso Ostinato is like a treasure chest because it has so many good things about it. Lead from Gold, Envious Assassin, and Grave Robber all add to the gun’s supply of bullets. The fourth slot can roll the powerful trait Destabilizing Rounds, which can trigger Volatile Rounds without running a Void subclass. One-Two Punch and Agadio both increase the raw damage of the shotgun.
Synchronic Roulette
Most players will find it frustrating to finish one run of Trials of Osiris, let alone farm challenges for a godroll on the powerful Immortal SMG. For the average player, the Synchronic Roulette SMG is a good primary weapon for Strand builds. This is a great trait combination that goes well with a Threadling build.
The only reason the SMG ranks high is because it doesn’t have any viable Strand primary cards. Compared to other SMGs like the Ikelos or Funnelweb, though, it’s not very good for an otherwise great archetype. On the other hand, Perpetualis, which can be made in Season of Defiance, is a much more reliable Strand primary.
Dimensional Hypotrochoid
Even with bad rolls, Wave Frame Grenade Launchers still do a great job of clearing adds in Destiny 2. The Dimensional Hypotrochoid has a big five-round magazine that can cover the battlefield in seconds. You won’t have to worry about reloading because you can make it for the Envious Assassin. This will give you a better flow during firefights.
The Statis Grenade Launcher can also roll the amazing Chain Reaction trait to make a lot of explosions go off at once. There’s no question about how powerful the weapon’s explosions are, but it depends on your loadout if you can handle a heavy weapon that’s mostly used to kill adds.
Circular Logic
The buffs to the Machine Gun helped the class get more kills while using less ammunition. It’s always worth it to have a Machine Gun for every element, mostly to keep a steady flow of orbs coming and to destroy the tougher adds in Lightfall. The Circular Logic is Strand’s piece for the class, and it has a very strong start.
The bullets keep coming from the third column, where Feeding Frenzy and Envious Assassin are at work. With the Hatchling trait, you’ll be making Threadlings like crazy for Strand builds. But with Target Lock or Golden Tricorn, the Machine Gun can hit like a truck even without the extra damage from the Nanotech Tracer Rockets origin trait.
